Description

LCV welcomes Climate Victory Council members from across the country as we kick of two days filled with powerful speakers, in-depth conversations, and strategy sessions to plan our next steps in the climate fight.

Right now, we are in the moment our movement has been building for over a decade, and we cannot afford to miss a single opportunity. The urgency of the climate crisis is the reason we have worked so hard to elect pro-climate leaders to all levels of government and especially to Congress and the White House. But the fight isn't over yet. Pro-environment legislators are working with a 218-212 margin in the House and an evenly divided Senate. Meanwhile, the circumstances of the 2022 election are already putting pressure on members in vulnerable seats. That's why we are staying focused and pushing to secure every pro-environment vote. During this session, Climate Victory Council members will have an interactive conversation moderated by LCV Board member Elaine French with LCV leaders including LCV President Gene Karpinski, LCV Board Member & United Steelworkers International Vice President at Large Roxanne Brown about their insider perspective on why action on climate, jobs, and justice is both good policy and good politics. Come with your questions and leave with the answers you need to stay active in the climate fight.

Attendees will also have the opportunity after the program to meet LCV staff and to mingle with fellow advocates from across the country and learn more about why LCV partners are invested in LCV's work.
